WChess 1.06 (or 1.6?)

Post by Carlos777 »

This is directed to testers (like CCRL group.)

I downloaded WChess from this link:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... jVtUDVTUG8

Installing it like an UCI engine, it plays much better than installing it as a winboard engine (as I did.) You can see the results of the weakened version here.

Researching a bit further, I realize I should installed it as an UCI engine. In a match of those 2 versions, the UCI one won by 99 - 1 (the only loss was on time.) I also noticed that WChess always use a thread no matter if it is its turn or not (GUI is set to ponder off and only 1 thread for each engine.) It seems is not pondering, but it grabs it anyway.

Anyone that had experience this problem and if so, is there a way to fix it?

Did you install it as a pure UCI engine, or by using the wb2uci adapter?

As an UCI engine with the wb2Uci adapter, the original exe is xboard compatible.
