Marvin 6.0.0 is now ready. According to my tests it is about 60 elo stronger than version 5.2.0.
The biggest change in this release is that Marvin now supports FRC. I have tested it with a few different GUIs, but if you encounter any issues please let me know.
Release notes from GitHub:
* FRC support
* Network file is now embedded in the executable
* New network architecture, HalfKP 256x2-16-16
* Some small search optimizations

Re: Marvin 6.0.0
Hi,
Looking since yesterday every hour.
I am so crazy.
Since I saw that you create a new version number.
Today in the morning I am looking 4 times.
Good, now available ... Frank can better sleeping.
Thank you Martin!
A little secret:
For many versions of Wasp is Marvin (Weiss also) ...fearful opponents ... or fear opponents ... shit English.
Best
Frank

I've completed my FRC testing of Marvin. It slots in at #14 behind Wasp 5.50

Re: Marvin 6.0.0
+70 Elo points ?!? Over the author's estimate of +60 Elo points (probably obtained in self play; so in matches it would be about 50%)? Sounds like a joke!pohl4711 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 16, 2022 12:37 pmMartin wrote: ↑Sun Jun 12, 2022 8:43 am Marvin 6.0.0 is now ready. According to my tests it is about 60 elo stronger than version 5.2.0.

I got something between 20-30 Elo points increase between versions. I know, just one match, only 100 games, the statistical error bar & so on ..... but I personally watched almost all the games ....... I'm very curious what CCRL and CEGT will get!

+15 -31 =54
-56 Elo points face to Hiarcs 15.1
Hiarcs 15.1 x64 has 3289 Elo points (CCRL Blitz).
Marvin 5.2.0 x64 has 3212 Elo points (CCRL Blitz).

Re: Marvin 6.0.0
Do you hear someone laughing?
It's not a joke, it's reality.
We have +83 after 1600 games now vs. 16 opponents, still running
Stefans results are totally consistent
