Which are the important 7-piece Syzygy Endgame Tablebases?
Which 7-piece endgames will we never see?
Do we have a list (%) how often all 7-piece endgames happen on the board?
How important is HDD and SSD speed in your opinion?
Would you use a fast SSD and a slow HDD or SD card in the same time for different endgame tablebases?
How important is it to have many TB storage?
2TB? 4TB? 8TB? 16TB? 20TB? 24TB?
If speed is not important, wouldn’t it be better to buy a slower SSD or HDD with more storage to have always all results?
Would you prefer to use an external SSD or HDD or SD card or USB stick?
Does the 7-piece syzygy endgame tablebases helps you to improve your endgame?
Do you use it for test suites too?
Is Stockfish better (not asking for faster) without the 7-piece syzygy endgame tablebases?

Re: 7-Piece Syzygy Endgame Tablebases - questions 2022
There have been a number of topics on this over the years, including the one in the reply.
Seems that for ELO, don't expect much over 6 piece.
For analysing games, studies etc, could be a huge improvement for some cases!

Re: 7-Piece Syzygy Endgame Tablebases - questions 2022
Could we get a program or script which can see when Stockfish starts to hit endgame tablebases and what those 7-piece tablebases are?
Or which tablebases are loading into RAM?
At TCEC we can often see that Stockfish starts to get TB hits in the first moves of the game.
Stockfish will always see a lot positions which he wants to avoid, which he is avoiding, and that’s why we never see those endgames on the board.
Now someone could say that tablebases for … endgame are not needed because it never happens on the board, but this will be obviously wrong when Stockfish has hit these tablebases before, even if he was in the beginning of the game.
It makes much more sense to look at which syzygy endgame tablebases Stockfish is hitting and not only which are on the board.
