Scid vs. PC engine tournaments: single engine playing Black

Post by JohnnyZoom3H »

I am using Scid vs. PC for Windows running with Parallels on an Intel-based MacBook Pro.

I would like to run an engine tournament with one engine against several others, so all my versions of Scid vs. PC have this option. However my issue is I want the single engine to sometimes play with Black and the other engines as White in those cases. I have only found how to have the unique engine play White always.

Is there any good way to allow for the unique engine to play as Black? A piece of background: my tournaments do not start from the start position as I am exploring different opening libraries. It is true I can construct a FEN string which mirrors the desired starting position, but with colors reversed. The resulting tournaments would be isomorphic to what I want but would be very difficult to interpret, and meaningless to combine with other such games but with the unique engine playing White.

Thanks in advance. I did try getting on to the SCID vs. PC users forum but could not get myself registered properly.
