Hello. This website (http://rebel13.nl/windows/rebel%27s%20with%20uci.html) has a UCI version of the old Rebel 6 program in UCI format.
For the fun it of I played it against Rebel 12 (http://rebel13.nl/noomen/dos-rebels.html) and to my surprise Rebel 6 won when Rebel 12 resigned. Doesn't seem like that should ever happen if Rebel 6 is truly just a uci version of the original Rebel 6 program. Anyone know if the Rebel 6 uci is maybe an improved version of the original?

Re: Rebel 6 UCI > Rebel 12 DOS?
I'm sure you've thought of this, but let me double check: are the two versions running at the same speed? If one is in DOSBox and the other in qemu etc, you can get very different results.
In this case one is in UCI so...that's many times faster, right?

Thanks for checking, I wasn't thinking about speed. I was just thinking of the number of versions between them.

To set things straight, Rebel6 is neither better than Rebel12, nor is it uci.
It simply uses the well known WB2UCI adapter by Odd Gunnar Malin.
Didn't you wonder about the different exe files and the wb2uci ini file?

No, I never looked at the files. I simply went by what the web page and zip file said which is that it was UCI.Guenther wrote: ↑Sun Nov 13, 2022 5:41 pmTo set things straight, Rebel6 is neither better than Rebel12, nor is it uci.
