Arasan has no optimizations for Mac M1, so I would not expect it to perform well. It's something I've been meaning to fix, but I need to acquire the hardware for it, and put in the time to do it.

That's right... But that doesn't stop Arasan from playing impressive and interesting chess ;)

Although the current CT800 version is 1.44 and 60 Elo stronger, Arasan is still 1000 Elo ahead. :)

Hi Dariusz, feel free to test Lynx .osx.XX-arm64 versions as well.
I've been building ARM specific versions for the latest macOS versions, but never had the chance to test them myself due to not having the hardware for it handy.
I'd appreciate it if you could give it a try and report any possible errors, despite the fact that it's going to end up at the bottom of your list :D

Eduherminio,
Thanks for the Lynx engine :)

I started Lynx games in version 0.13.0-osx-x64. After playing 100 games, the engine is stable, I have not noted a single crash and no timeouts. Lynx compiled in arm64 versions for Mac, unfortunately, none of the versions (osx-11, osx-12, osx-13) run.

Example:
chessengeria@MBP-Dariusz ~ % chmod +x /Users/chessengeria/Chess/Engines/Lynx/Lynx-0.13.0-osx.13-arm64/Lynx.Cli
chessengeria@MBP-Dariusz ~ % /Users/chessengeria/Chess/Engines/Lynx/Lynx-0.13.0-osx.13-arm64/Lynx.Cli
zsh: killed /Users/chessengeria/Chess/Engines/Lynx/Lynx-0.13.0-osx.13-arm64/Lynx.Cli
The same is true in another shell, such as /bin/bash.

For Lynx 0.13.0-osx-x64, games in progress :)

Thanks for testing Dariusz!
Glad to read about the -osx-x64 version, and I'm obviously disappointed about the arm ones.
Any chance there's a logs/ dir generated next to the binaries with some errors-XX.log file I can have a look at?
