Korean Janggi engine app

Post by janggi-korea »

Hi? I am Korean and my name is Baek.
I built the Janggi engine with my Italian friend.
I got some ideas from site here and from the Winboard developer Mueller.

And I coded my tactics. It's not complete yet.

You can enjoy Korean Janggi with mobile apps.
I made it with android system, need some ads for free use.
If you can win top-level engine, you're good enough to enter the Korean Janggi competition.
You can test Korean Janggi engine app (English language, or Korean language or other).

Install on your phone: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... .rangy_app

thank you

I have read that in recent years tournament Janggi is played with a point-count tiebreak rule, with 1.5 points "komi" added to the second player's point count. Is this accurate, and is this done with your app? With this rule, Janggi may be the only chess variant that is both balanced and draw-free. I only played the game a few times about 30 years ago, but I did manage to win a game in Seoul on a street-corner from someone who apparently played there every day! He was quite shocked to lose to an American who spoke no Korean and whom he had just shown the rules (I already knew them, but wasn't sure I learned the same rules as he was using).
Komodo rules!

Already, An additional score of 1.5 points has been implemented.
You can choose a score system from the options.
