FEN Syzygy tool

Post by mbabigian »

I'm looking for a tool that can lookup FENs in local Syzygy files. Does anyone know of a tool that can take a batch of FENs from a text file, and spit out an output file with say FEN,Result?

Thanks in advance,
Mike.

Fathom includes a stand-alone command-line syzygy probing tool. To probe a position, simply run the command:

Code: Select all

fathom --path=<path-to-TB-files> "FEN-string"
It's not exactly what you want but you could use it to do the heavy lifting in an otherwise simple script. Or modify the code according to your needs.
