Which Software can teach you like a Human trainer?

Post by Chessqueen »

I know that there are lots of cds for sale in chessbase.com that help to train players on what plan to choose during the Middlegame, since books are so boring, but I have NOT found a very good dedicated engine that can explain middlegame plan like this Human on youtube ===> If you know of any engine better than Lucas that does NOT talk please le me know?

As I posted elsewhere...'engines' simply do not do that - it is not what they are built for.

Programs that 'use' engines are what you need to look for. DecodeChess is perhaps the best, but you can't 'own' it...it's a service.
Frankly Chess.com' (and lichess...even chessbase) offers automatic analysis 'with words' of games played and while it is not as good as 'DecodeChess...they just made it a bit better...so there is hope.
Also, Aimchess is a site that goes thru your games and behaves a lot like DecodeChess...but because it looks a set number of your games or even all...it can give a 'birds eye view' of your strengths/weaknesses...and offers suggestions on how to improve.
