TCEC games in a readable format

Post by Norm Pollock »

I edited some TCEC games into a readable format - no comments, etc.

A full description of the editing is on my site (links below) under "PGN Game Downloads".

Code: Select all

==============================
"40H-PGN" "cc" databases
==============================

cc-tcec.pgn

"cc-tcec.pgn" is an edited collection of selected games from
the TCEC chess competitions ( https://tcec-chess.com ). The
purpose of this file is to present these games in a readable
format arranged by openings.

TCEC is regarded by many chess enthusiasts as the "unofficial"
world championship competition between chess engines. All
games are played on state-of-the-art computers and all games
are played with long time-controls.

These selected games are from the TCEC "Season" competitions
starting with "Season 11" (2018). The selected games were
played in either "Division P", the "Infrafinal", or the
"Superfinal" sections.

The openings were chosen by TCEC chess experts who selected
a wide variety of openings, some of which give an advantage
to one of the sides. However, that is balanced out because
each opening is played a second time by the same opponents
with colors reversed. In matches between chess engines,
it is customary for a third party, usually an opening book,
to choose the opening moves because chess engines on their
own would pick the same openings over and over.

An unedited version of each game can be found in the "Archive"
section of "https://tcec-chess.com".

A sincere "Thank You" to the TCEC organization for putting
these games in the Public Domain.

----------

"40H-PGN" EDITING:

Removed version data from the chess engine names.

Comments and variations were removed.

Some Tags were removed.

The order of the Tags was rearranged.

ECO codes were replaced with "Scid vs PC" extended ECO codes.

The games were sorted by ECO codes.

Only games with ply counts between 41 and 500 were included.

The "Move" sections were re-formatted (all full moves are
  on the same line).

Games with non-standard terminations were omitted.

Games were checked for technical problems and any problems
found were either fixed or the game was removed.

The former TCEC website "http://tcec.chessdom.com" was
replaced in the Site Tags of older games by the current
  website "https://tcec-chess.com".
