I have fritz 18.
I want to have an engine match (also engine tournament) where I use a set of starting positions.
How do I create this set of starting positions so that I select it when creating an engine match?
How to create database of starting positions for engine matches?

I use a SQL database for that.
I can select openings based on win/loss/draw numbers
I can select named openings.
I can select openings with any centipawn evaluation
I can select only openings that have a lot of different common move choices
I can select gambits
I can select drawish openings
I cal select lopsided openings
Tell me what you are interested in and I can probably select a collection for you.
No, my database is not available. It is stored in a 140 TB raid array that weighs about 200 pounds.

Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.
