scid vs pc shows weird character

I have often noticed that the first game in a database has some weird character before the first move or sometimes before the Event tag in the first game. And now I am seeing something even more weird in a game collection. It shows [Event "?"] and then before the first move of the first game it shows

[Event "FIDE Women's Grand Prix | Fourth Leg 2022/23"]

with a weird character before [Event ...

I had [Event "?"] before in the pgn file. I fixed it, and re-generated the scid database.

Adding some more information: I moved the game down to second place in the pgn file, and generated the scid db again. Now it has fixed [Event "?"] part, but shows a weird character before the first move of the first game.
