Torch vs Stockfish: 1000 games on chesscom

Torch played 1000 games vs. latest Stockfish Dev. My UHO-openings (8 moves deep), 1min+1sec thinkig-time. But mention, the chesscom hardware is a monster: 256 Threads for the engine. Around 15x-20x faster, than a "normal" PC with 8 cores/16 threads, so on a normal machine, this would mean 15min+15sec thinking-time. At least.

Classical ORDO-Elo:

Code: Select all

Program Elo + - Games Score Av.Op. Draws

   1 Stockfish : 3821 8 8 1000 64.0 % 3720 61.0 %
   2 Torch : 3720 8 8 1000 36.0 % 3821 61.0 %
Individual statistics:
Stockfish : 1000 (+335,=610,- 55), 64.0 %
Torch : 1000 (+335,=610,- 55), 36.0 %

Gamepairs:

Code: Select all

   # PLAYER : RATING ERROR PLAYED W D L (%) CFS(%)
   1 Stockfish : 0 ---- 500 284 212 4 78.0 100
   2 Torch : -222 27 500 4 212 284 22.0 ---

Long way to go for Torch... Torch won only 4 gamepairs (of 500), Stockfish won 284 gamepairs (of 500)...

Here a really nice win by Stockfish, found by my Interesting Wins Search Tool. Stockfish sacs both of its rooks. Crazy!
