Automatic Analysis in Multi PV Mode possible?

I often use Arena's Automatic Analysis feature, finding it a valuable tool. However, I'm currently exploring whether it is possible to use this feature in Multi PV Mode to automatically analyze all legal moves within a given position. My goal is to assess the complexity of a position or to measure it more accurately.

Alternatively, I've considered using a tool that generates EPD-format positions for all legal moves from a given position. The idea is to feed this list of positions (though potentially lengthy) into Arena for analysis.

You can do that with any engine, that offers MultiPV- mode in it's parameters defined as Arena- options. Afair automatic positional testing with suites didn't work correctly with sooner versions of Arena (didn't try suites and MultiPV with versions later as 3.00, I guess) in MultiPV- mode, because the order of MultiPV- lines was stored the other way round (best evaluated one as last in list) than expected as for best move- choice and defined bm- solution. But in protocol- file of engines' outputs you see all lines with correctly stored evals listed from depth to depth, so no problem to judge output- lines interactively for their correctness, irrespective of their adjudication as solved or not solved, regards

In Analysis.log MultiPV- lines are assorted from least to best one, eval is highest for best one, but as for adjudication by GUI another one (not even necessarily the first one in line listed) is compared to stored bm.
So Arena still isn't to be used in MultiPV- mode for automatically running position- suite, an old bug that I noticed years ago with a much sooner version already, regards

Very helpful, thank you.

I have adjusted the settings of the engine and now I get all the output I need. MultiPV is set to 50 which should cover most positions and doesn't generate too many blank lines. Then I will take the log-file and will fire up Python to parse the text output.
