Bought it. The opening repertoire stuff is a big step in the right direction. It's still behind CPT but equal or better to COW IMO.

As a BIG fan of CPT, I can't wait to give it a try.

Curious, regarding your Zyzygy issue, are you using multi-variation mode?

CPT is discontinued since 2016 :(

I have emailed the author several times without response. But it is such a beautiful program.

I wrote to SR 3 or so years ago and got a response - mainly to get off the 'subscription model' because I had reservations about the whole approach. I also was hoping he could help with a 'feature' he had been teasing about....and he said it was 'too big' but if I could wait, it would be on the next version. Which...as you know, never happened. :(

Like I said, the 345men Syzygy are not found by the GUI! It looks like this. GUI uses Syzygy is activated and is loaded when the program starts:

With 6men:

With 345men:

Only the engine calculates. But the Syzygy are not defective and under Fritz 18 everything looks correct as here with 6men. Its a BUG in Fritz 19!!

I checked the positions posted with Fritz 19 Update 4. Everything correct now! GUI finds now all 3456men, and the solutions are correct.

Did you happen to notice that fix was not posted in the 19.4 changelog. Per usual

Yes.

Two more BUGs are still there:

1. I always run ENG matches with Ponder ON. In the engine window only one move of the variant is displayed if the engine has a ponder hit. That looks stupid. Is this a feature or a BUG?

2. The evaluation profile cannot be closed in the ENG Match! :-(
