Short-Game collection for book creators ... test-set!

Post by Frank Quisinsky »

Hello everyone,

games based on the balanced "FEOBOS-Excel-Opening-Project".
All 500 ECO codes inside FEOBOS, 20% of lines found by engines, during FCP-Ratinglist (before 2017) was still-running.

End of 2017: 10 engines optimising an opening book in teamwork with best balanced opening lines I collected all the years.

Here I offer the results of my own official tournaments based on the FEOBOS database.

All games ended with mate, all games from my site were played in own tourneys without resign-mode.
The deal ... better material without resign for create an test-set with balanced positions!

Please note:
These are not blitz games, I used longer time controls for my tournaments.

6.914 games (Chessbase database, *.cbh format): 5.997Mb
Mate to move number 55:

I am working since a while on an balanced test-set and used this database.
Maybe others have interest on it for his own test-set or opening book development.

Best
Frank

For game replayers ... have fun with the material!
Very nice games are inside!

Graham, could you give me the link?

I sorted my database by moves, better for looking.
Maybe I can find better positions with a mix of different databases.
More material would be great!
