In the would be challenger match where the lc0 crew sent their more nimble T3 net in the hopes it would goose the nps for bullet, there were a number of really pretty games. Game 495 was particularly gorgeous.

CCC Bullet Torch vs lc0
Fat Titz by Stockfish, the engine with the bodaciously big net. Remember: size matters. If you want to learn more about this engine just google for "Fat Titz".

This match cannot be taken seriously. Because of the wrong book. Please share the Torch engine and see that there will be a completely different result of the match.

Interesting game. But weird that LCO comi this strategic error and put its queen in a position allowing all these tactics.

This guy thinks, using UHO Openings is something really bad and we all should enjoy tournaments with 90%+ draws instead...AndrewGrant wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 10:43 amWhat exactly does that mean?Krzysztof Grzelak wrote: ↑Mon Dec 18, 2023 3:44 pm This match cannot be taken seriously. Maybe we'll start differently. What book do you use to test the engines on your website. Is the value of the book within +0.30 or - 0.30 while the engines are playing.

Well if we start using drawn books, it can make Torch look quite good compared to Stockfish. So maybe I should....pohl4711 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 11:55 amThis guy thinks, using UHO Openings is something really bad and we all should enjoy tournaments with 90%+ draws instead...AndrewGrant wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 10:43 amWhat exactly does that mean?Krzysztof Grzelak wrote: ↑Mon Dec 18, 2023 3:44 pm This match cannot be taken seriously. Although, Torch did take a game off of Lc0 as black, despite every opening being "unreasonable" ( as some would say) white favoured

It all depends on whether you want to see opening lines that heavily favour one side from the start, or whether you want a fair opening line.pohl4711 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 11:55 amThis guy thinks, using UHO Openings is something really bad and we all should enjoy tournaments with 90%+ draws instead...AndrewGrant wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 10:43 amWhat exactly does that mean?Krzysztof Grzelak wrote: ↑Mon Dec 18, 2023 3:44 pm This match cannot be taken seriously. For example, I prefer proper chess opening lines that super GMs might play, which in most cases means balanced.
My take is that an engine should be able to outplay another from balanced lines, just as Stockfish, Dragon by Komodo and Torch seem able to do better than others at the top level.
Most draws are interesting.

90% drawn does not seem a problem. For human tournaments, sure. But these are tireless little pieces of software you can put thru their paces whiles you sleep. No one (with a life) sits and watches them as they are being played.pohl4711 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 11:55 amThis guy thinks, using UHO Openings is something really bad and we all should enjoy tournaments with 90%+ draws instead...AndrewGrant wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 10:43 amWhat exactly does that mean?Krzysztof Grzelak wrote: ↑Mon Dec 18, 2023 3:44 pm This match cannot be taken seriously.
