Hello Werner:

Is this the only engine with this issue? I have got Arena 2.0.1 with common hashtable size = 256 MB and when I ran an infinite analysis with SF 16, Arena reports 408 MB or 409 MB, while the Task Manager reports 367 MB. If I open SF 16 through double click, set hash to 256 MB and run infinite analysis, the Task Manager reports 352 MB.

Regards from Spain.

Yes, only engine in Arena 3.5.1. Taskmanager shows same MB over 500. Same issue in Hiarcs Chess Explorer.

In this case, there is definitely a problem with Drofa. For whatever reason, it uses 4x the hash that one specifies, whether using Arena or any other GUI.

You are right guys. Under Fritz 17 Drofa uses 1 GB when set to 256 MB.

I have opened an issue at the Drofa site.
