I saw in another forum that a lot of people have trouble to login and I had too, until I googled the error message:
The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.
The solution is simply to delete all previous talkchess cookies saved for your browser.
As you can see this worked for me and so I suppose it will work for all
I know those people can still read the site but not write thus I hope they will check this thread for the solution.

Next problem is that instead of a given link it shows a huge pic of the linked site in my signature...
Thanks for all the work in server migration to HGM, Srdja, Ed and whoever is/was involved!
I suggest adding a notification about this to the front page (http://www.talkchess.com/) or the log in screen.
Thx for the suggestion, it seems this error message is also given with forgot password form:
This forum is even worse than the one with cloudflare... It keeps asking me to delete my cookies every time I try and login when using Mozilla Firefox. This happens almost every day and every time I try and login..
I have to delete the cookies every time I try and login. It is mayor annoyance, even worse than with cloudflare.
With cloudflare at least I was logged in every time I entered the forum. Now if I want to enter I have to delete the cookies on my browser and than enter with my username and password.
The forum has gone from bad to worse.
I want the old forum back with cloudflare.

What error message do you get, if you do not delete repeatedly your cookies? Which browser? Did you check the "Remember me" box on the login page?
Everything is as it should be.It is the forum's fault. New Server logs me out automatically the next day, so I have delete the cookies and write my username and password all over again...
I had no problems like that with the old forum that contained cloudflare, and even though it was annoying, I was never asked to delete my cookies and write my username and password all over again, in order to enter the forum.

??? Why do you have to delete the cookies? Do you get an error message? Or do you get just logged out the next day. Did you check the "Remember me" box left to the login button?
If you do not get such a error message while login:
The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.
then you do not have to delete the cookies.
Can someone else confirm, that they get logged out while "remember me" was checked?

I was logged out too, after some while and never remembered, even with 'remember me set to true'.
(could have been though that I was logging in from two different computers the first days)
This does not happen anymore since yesterday.
Hmm, okay, thx for reporting, thing is, if you mix up http and https it messes with the sid, session id, as of today we have an official signed SSL certificate, so the recommend usage of TC is now via https, cos after https login the session id will be stored in the cookie. If you open with http, the session id will be stored via URL. This is phpBB specific. Hope this helps.
