because it included the last changes from Bob and the version number change.
There are compilations from Dann Corbitt and Mike Byrne.

Conclusion - always ask the XB/UCI chronology ;)

My first small test with 1600 games is finished and all worked without any problem.
The result is a little bit surprisingly.

Hello Jim, many thanks for this compile. What I read is Clang the new standard frontend for compilers, isn't it? I will use this version in my second advanced testrun.
A question to you: do you have by any chance some of the oldest Craftys like 8.x - 12.x that work in Win 10 on Ryzen computers? :D Most I found didn't work (doesn't start at all or hang after some moves). Would be nice for my Retro-Chess site. I have no idea if it is possible to get working compiles from this versions :D .

Because they (25.6 - 32bit) did not exist before ;)
Also note that I just answered the question about a sheer existence of any 25.6 version.

Crafty has all its downloads and versions scattered over lots of different places.
Alone with this thread I had to add three new links.
This happens when a program has(had) no real website and no version control system in use.
(a rare case, but it also was the first to add any chess protocol at all)

You are right Guenther. The amount of compiles over the net is sheer unmanageable

It's a happy day to see new Jim Ablett compiled engines.
I got a very warm feeling of nostalgia from that.
Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.
