This has got to be the null move devastator of all time. Tossing wood in a way that would make Morphy blush.
Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.

Re: Nice 5-mover.

Hello:

I found the same position but one move earlier from a tweet of April 10th, 2024:

Image

The idea of 1.- Nf7 is to capture the trapped queen. The only move to avoid that is K×N, but doing so you enter in the five-mover. Black is not forced to capture the knight, of course.

I expect old engines to solve the checkmate in five moves in few time. AnMon 5.60, Dragon 4.6, Hermann 2.4 64-bit, Nejmet 3.07, ProDeo 1.5, Ruffian 1.0.5, Rybka 2.2 64-bit and Spike 1.2 succeeded, as well as Chest 5.2.

Regards from Spain.

Ajedrecista.
