searching for "multi-board" as freeware

Post by chessica »

I've been looking for a freeware version of a "multi-board" for quite some time to look at the end positions of a pgn database and I just can't find anything. Does anyone here know anything and can report back?

Arena has a multiboard option (overview) but that's
for one game (at several points), not endnodes of a pgn.

so i guess you have to make it yourself ....

 I could only find something from chessbase, like this: https://help.chessbase.com/playchess/7/ ... iboard.htm

I use Arena 3.5.1 and couldn't find the multiboard there. How do I access it? I couldn't find anything about it in the help file either. Can you help me?

p.s. I'm not a programmer

in Arena, look under options, overview (shift F9)

But it's different than what you want.

Actually, for a new Chessbase 18 or so it imo indeed would make sense, to display a small
diagram of the end position after every game in a list of games (justs to get a
quick impression how the game ended).
