Why no stockfish updates since August 3rd?

More than two weeks seems a little unusual
Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.

There was a change I don't like. Fix output for GUI #5460 . This means, that current move is displayed only after 10 million main thread nodes. Can easily take 30 seconds or even more with modern CPU  .

Modern CPUs don't get only 333k nodes per second. GUI is at fault though. Not SF's job.

Addition: even if 10 Mnodes is reached it can take many additional seconds before current move is displayed. Specially if there is search explosion.

If they’re struggling to make gains over 16.1 it might take a while to see 17
