After the launch of their new website, login via port 5000 does not seem to work (no response)
Any idea what how to access now via Winboard/xboard?

As far as I can tell, there is no API access for external bots in the new platform. They didn't bother to notify anyone with an existing bot.
No biggie perhaps, since computer accounts had pretty much vanished from ICC already. However, anyone used to using an ICC client program for personal play is also affected.

My username is uknown (I registered and recreated it), the help doesn't talk about computers. It seems it's web based only now, and all nice old-style things liked by authors are lost

As far as I can tell, the new site is like lichess with a lot fewer features. And not free. Good luck to them, but I can't see this being a success.
