Saitek Kasparov RISC 2500 power supply for US?

Hello,

Does anyone here happen to own a Saitek Kasparov RISC 2500 chess computer and live in the US? If so, what power supply are you using? I purchased the computer recently but unfortunately the power supply that comes with it is a European style and I live in the US. The manual specifically says not use a different power supply so I am afraid to try something else without knowing if it would damage the computer. Thanks for your help.

The European power supply says

I/P:AC220v ~ 50hz
O/P:DC5.8v 500ma

My original power supply was a huge brick. I haven't used it for a while. It is somewhere in the basement.
However currently I am using a standard 5 volt adapter with no problems.

INPUT:120V 60Hz 10W
OUTPUT: 5.0VDC 1000mA

Would you be able to provide a model number or catalog number of the adapter you use? The universal adapter I ordered didn't work for me

I have been using this adapter for over 20 years.
It came with another piece of equipment which honestly I don't remember what.
I simply adopted it to my Risc 2500

MEI INTERNATIONAL Class 2 Transformer P/N: MADA-3025-PS U041-050R0100
INPUT:120V 60Hz 10W
OUTPUT: 5.0VDC 1000mA

Any regulated adapter with these specs should work even up to 6 volts. Unless there is an issue with the computer.

Thank you. I found one on Amazon, this will be my last try. I opened it up to try and see if anything looked damaged but I didn't see anything obvious.
