Hellooo!
PgnToChinese? What source? Why is this not hosted on rapidshare or a blog (jimmdefree lepter-portal)? Why did you just post a link here?
Greetings!

Re: PGN Book Creator
Hello:
I hope you do not find my message disrespectful.
May you clarify how does this tool differ from the functionalities "Scid vs. PC" and "Chessbase" have? Moreover, the book format is not a "standardized format". How could it offer new benefits compared to the existent tools.
Thank you.

Re: PGN Book Creator
You will have to ask the author of this tool. I am not the one.

Changes in this release:
Added horizontal scrollbar to engine evaluations.
Increased font size on engine evaluations.
Changes in last release (1.5)
Now you can switch between engines with F12 while analyzing, it stops the current analysis and starts a new one with your next engine.
Fixed the "Force Move" option. It now works correctly after going back and clicking on it with a move from a different turn.
You can now press Return or Escape in the "Input Move" window, making it easier to use with non-mouse devices.
Added new key bindings (see them in Engine/Help).
Fixed an issue with Brainlearn's "Chinese book" it now retrieves moves correctly.
The current default engine is now displayed in the status bar.

Re: PGN Book Creator
(in line with the questions supernova asked) i think this project could be interesting
if it would -later(?)- get some new functionalities.
Example: what imo still is lacking in current pgn/book software (various (sub)programs is the ability
to average the engine scores (for different engines), combine it with statistical result (eg. from engine
games), and possibly (as option) 'sharpness' and subsequently backsolving to get a solid repertoire for
eg. blitz (sharp), or standard (less sharp but more solid). Sharpness can be derived from w/d/l
statistics, as generated eg. by Lc0 (but some other engines should also be able to do this).
As (ideal book creator with Gui) has been previously discussed a few tunes -years ago- in talkchess.
Standard book format btw imo currently is polyglot (which although not ideal simply is de facto
standard/best we have; and with jja.exe tool the polyglot book can be converted to other formats).

Re: PGN Book Creator
https://github.com/rubenkku/PGN-Book-Cr ... es/tag/2.0
Changes in this release:
This is a polished release with improvements to enhance stability and eliminate known bugs.
Reworked book format: now faster and uses 25% less memory and disk space.
Note: Books created in versions prior to 2.0 are not compatible with this release. We apologize for any inconvenience.
All releases before 2.0 should be discarded, as this release fixes critical bugs in evaluation averages and engine management.
Slightly updated move notation for clarity.
Fixed a critical issue where spamming the back and forth arrows duplicated engines in RAM.
Improved "Best Move" option functionality.
Added new key bindings (see Engine / Help for details).
You can now press (+) or (-) to adjust the number of analysis variants, even during an ongoing analysis.
Updated interface style from white to light gray for better eye comfort.
Added "Sort by Player" option.
Fixed an issue with the display of the real evaluation average.
Fixed a issue with certain character-set generating error

PGN Book Creator 3.0.0 - Beta Public Version Latest
@rubenkku rubenkku released this 41 minutes ago
https://github.com/rubenkku/PGN-Book-Cr ... /tag/3.0.0
Author’s Note:
This release, version 3.0.0, is in beta. This means it is still under development and may contain unexpected bugs or issues. You are strongly advised to make a copy of your BIN books before editing them with this software, as there is a risk of data loss due to unforeseen errors. This software is provided free of charge and without any warranties; I am not responsible for any loss resulting from its use. Use it at your own risk.
Both PGN and BIN files larger than approximately 300MB are supported (there is no strict size limit). However, larger files may cause the software window to freeze or delay. The larger the file, the longer the delay—this is expected and will be improved as development continues. As a best practice, it is recommended to work with a smaller or new BIN book first, and then merge it with a larger BIN book. This approach is faster.
This week, several important features have been added, including:
Tools for BIN book creation, merging, and editing.
A PGN Viewer for opening PGN game lists and selecting games.
A BIN book tree explorer and .book file explorer.
The help documentation is still pending updates to cover the new features. For any questions, please leave a comment here or in the Playchess chat.
