I'd trust Thorsten to do a good job.Peter Berger wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 4:34 pmI will vote against Thorsten. He used to be a moderator in the past and was fired due to some kind of misbehaviour AFAIK.
I also very much appreciate to see him agree to run though, and he is a nice man you can always have a coke with. Dear moderators, how are we supposed to get the list of candidates, that we can vote for or against?
Some guidance would be very much appreciated. Can you give us some guidance, now that chrisw has updated the voter list?

Good qualities to add to my list above. However, he has not yet agreed to allow his name to be put forward for the election.Peter Berger wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 4:34 pmI also very much appreciate to see him agree to run though, and he is a nice man you can always have a coke with.

It's only you who thinks there is any need for people to seek some kind of vindication in here. The silent majority already sees how you behaved and we'll see about truth and lies with their votes. Go on with your polarization, it will definitely help.chrisw wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 6:39 pmYes, Andrew, I understand you ascribe terrible bad motives to those you don't like and big yourself up as the greatest but unrecognised genius ever to have walked the planet. This involves a lot of lying, embellishing, omitting and/or twisting facts etc. etc. The me-good, others bad stuff is a sure sign of narcissism and the lying that goes with it, a sign of Machiavellianism. The bullying you organise against out-people is a sign of psychopathy. If you learn all this behaviour whilst still a youth, one dreads to imagine the sort of adult you'll turn into. My advice is to exit computer chess, just treat it as a bad formative experience in a (for some reason) dysfunctional space and try starting again elsewhere. Add "removing valid voters who will vote against the established rule" to my list? Very lame.Seems pretty clear that our glorious leaders have no intent on running any fair elections. First they hold out and delay the process as long as possible; Then they start throwing around false bans against those who they disagree with; And now we have some disgusting attempt at credentialism. Next we'll just get to select between Kang and Kodos.

Re: 2024 Moderation Election ***Update***
Members who need to update their real name have two weeks from this post, until 20-Nov-2024, to do so, at which point the Eligible Voter List will be frozen, pending election.
The talkchess database was polled at 13:50 on 21-November-2024 by Ed and the file sent on to me. You had not updated your user data by then. Thus you're not included in the Eligible Voter List.

Re: 2024 Moderation Election ***Update***
Hahaha! I'm just getting on with organising an election (that I don't actually believe in, but accept the democracy of the FG). The election was announced and a two week period to update the real name field given. During this two weeks, we've been accused of 'delaying' the election plus a mass of other hideous abuse generated by ascribing to us the worst possible motivation that can be thought up by the twisted minds involved. In fact we've done what we said we would, within the time frame, voluntarily, without reward, but with much received abuse. But still you complain and accuse us of being liars. The person who necessarily twists facts in order to abuse is actually the liar. That's you isn't it? You also operate in what has become a very toxic place (in part), a place where some people with serious narcissistic personality disorder and observable psychopathy organise campaigns of bullying against perceived out groups. This bullying has been transferred over to this forum and resulted in victimised posters being forced off the forum. This moderation team has done what it can to stop you and will continue to do so. Have a nice day, and maybe get a more productive life than harassing this quite small and trivial special interest group with your fantasies?noobpwnftw wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 1:15 pmIt's only you who thinks there is any need for people to seek some kind of vindication in here. Like me, you won't be allowed to vote. I have been here right from the start of CCC, am a regular contributor, and lots of people have always known who I am - but I've been excluded on a technicality.
