I thought about having a poll for Carlsen or FIDE for most responsibility in the chess players forum - but then I decided the whole thing was too silly. :)

Jouni, that's basically an opening trap found with heavy help from an engine, isn't it? I don't think Fabi played more than like 10 moves on his own, starting from a position that is won.

Coming back to Caruana's game, the last Firouzja's blunder in a totally lost position is 28.- Ke4, allowing the checkmate in two moves that was played in the game.

When you thought it wouldn't get any worse after the pants shitshow. It got a lot worse. Hey, we are too tired to play blitz. Let's split the blitz world championship title! They exposed FIDE as useless organizer, you can make new rules on the fly as you please. I think competitive chess needs to go. Chess needs to remain as educational tool in schools.

Humans are arrogant.

That's why I enjoy playing against a computer much more than I enjoy playing against humans. Computers have infinite patience and won't judge me or bully if I lose games against it.

Anyone looking for a feature to make their chess engine stand out has just been shown it: have it trash talk their opponent during the game! :)
