Post by trippytreez445 »

Requesting Chiron 5.01 as it is not longer available for purchase and website is removed and its considered abandonware at this point in time. If anyone still has the exe can you please share it to me privately.

I tried it back in January but got no reply.
In April, I emailed Ubaldo and got the following:
Chiron is no longer available, the Chiron website is not on-line and Chiron files are saved on some backup disks I currently don't have access to because I live in an other city.

Can he not suggest why the 64-bit version does not run any more?

Not sure that I was aware at the time. The email was last year now that I look again.

well they had an interesting idea for endgame play (rook pawn endings, i think)
which probably became superfluous in the era of (top)Nnue engines.

Reminds me of Vitruvius, an engine with more sacrifices, but now superseded
by engines as Rebel extreme or CStal21-eas.

A short reply from Eastern Carpathians: 64-bit version of Chiron 5.01 works perfectly for me în Windows 10.
