It's better than AMD, Intel, and Snapdragon notebooks.
The most expensive AMD and Intel notebooks cost around €16,000.
The MacBook 16-inch M5 MAX maxed out costs only around €7,000.
You get virtually twice the performance and pay half the price.

There aren't always chess benchmarks available, but there are always GeekBench numbers available.

Whenever I've compare GeekBench numbers to chess benchmark numbers (admittedly I've only done this twice, and the last time was several years ago), I've always found the correlation to be strong.

1. Geekbench numbers are available for every device I've ever searched

2. On both occasions on which I've tested, the correlation with chess benchmark numbers has been strong

It's a more than good enough proxy where chess benchmarks are not available.

I don’t think they are strong. The M5 Max is beating the 9995WX in multithreading. It’s a total joke, the suite is broken.
Meanwhile, in real life, the 9995WX is what? 4x faster for chess?

Moderation: How is this even on-topic for computer chess? Where are any chess related benchmarks? Please supply them to get this on-topic. And also update your profile. "Hai" does not cut it.

The profile is too short, and I agree to abide by moderators' decisions, but may I request a VAR review on relevance for computer chess?

Most computer chess followers are interested in CPUs, and Apple does have a track record in producing good CPUs for portable devices. Also, when I say that I have found strong correlations between chess benchmarks and GeekBench scores in the past, I'm not making that up: I have posted actual evidence about this in the past - and nobody has ever pointed out any mistakes in this simple statistical work: I'd like for people to understand that GeekBench scores are a perfectly good alternative to chess benchmarks (and are available online for every device I've ever looked up) - but I understand that most CCC members will be more comfortable with the latter. These threads tend to be short lived, but yield interesting and useful information while they are here.

The title of this thread is obviously emotive, but I think that all CCC readers will immediately recognise that he's a fanboy.

Hilarious placement. Thank you.
