Post by JVMerlino »

<apologies for the cross-post, but it seems this is the better forum for this kind of announcement>

Myrddin v0.96 has been released. The estimated improvement is about 80 elo, which should result in about 3280 CCRL.

- Improved Neural Network (many thanks to Andres Valverde for his exhaustive testing of Cerebrum!)
- Restored SMP support (many thanks to Martin Sedlák for his Myracle GUI and testing!)
- Added Improving heuristic
- Added SEE pruning in the main search
- Fixed a bug in SEE calculation that could score a winning capture as equal
- Somewhat more aggressive futility pruning
- The "reuse" xboard feature is now supported

Thanks, Graham. Myrddin is keeping both the xboard protocol and my "Extremely Lazy SMP" implementation alive.
