I would like to know results even if it is weaker than both engines but unfortunately it seems that nobody tested it and I do not know if it is possible to test it by some way.
Here are my ideas for testing when the engines are relatively weak:
Example:
Engine A is Crafty 25.2 64-bit 4CPU 3040
Engine B is Spike 1.4 Leiden 4CPU 3039
Engine C the decider is latest stockfish.
You decide about target time to move based on the remaining time on the clock.
Engine A is going to search to decide about a move and you stop it after the target time.
Egnine B is going to search to decide about a move and you stop it after the target time
Engine C is going to search to decide which move of engine A and engine B is better and you stop it after a different target time(I guess it is better to make this target time smaller than the target time of engine A and engine B.
The question is if the triple brain can be stonger than both engines in rating list or not. The obvious disadvantage is that engines do not have time management and also get less time to search but the advantage is that stockfish help them to play better than what one of them is going to play with no help.
I also would like to know how much weaker is the triple brain if you choose A in the even moves and B in the odd moves and how much it is weaker if you try to use stockfish to choose the worst move by both engines.
I wonder if there is some testing of the triple brain in chess
