What will Komodo score giving two pawns to GM?
This coming Tuesday we have a six game match scheduled with our latest Komodo giving two pawn handicap (c2 and f2) to GM Petr Neuman, FIDE 2464, born in 1978. Time control is 45' + 15" increment. Normal chess scoring. This will be the first game on record in which anyone or anything gave a two pawn handicap to a grandmaster.

Well we already have a similar match planned against a GM rated 54 elo higher. If we win both matches we can go up higher on the elo scale. But it's really hard for me to imagine beating a GM giving him two important pawns. One pawn no problem, but two??JJJ wrote:Do you have another target after that ?

If you win then I prefer that you go up in the time control instead of going up in the elo scale.lkaufman wrote:Well we already have a similar match planned against a GM rated 54 elo higher. 45+15 is not the time control that GM normally play in tournaments.
They use at least 90+30 and sometimes even slower time control like
90/40+30/rest of the game+30 seconds for every move.

In principle I aagree with you, but I think that going much slower than 45' + 15" will sharply decrease the number of internet viewers, which (along with cost) is a consideration.Uri Blass wrote:If you win then I prefer that you go up in the time control instead of going up in the elo scale.lkaufman wrote:Well we already have a similar match planned against a GM rated 54 elo higher.
