that's fine by me. Just stop trying to figure out what I "think" and rely on what I "write" and there won't be any misunderstandings...geots wrote:bob wrote:I don't know what your problem is, and I don't intend to take up psychiatry to figure it out.geots wrote:I would be willing to bet that Graham Banks has either edited, locked or deleted more of my threads than anyone elses. I dont have a problem with any of the methods, and i doubt seriously more than a few people do. And if you found 3 people who disagreed with Graham, at least 2 of them would have other agendas they were trying to further. It wasnt long ago i remember Bob Hyatt accusing Steve B. of spamming the forum with his "dedicated" posts. Bob even made the statement that if he had his way the "dedicated" posts would go, the so-called "basement tournament" results ( his words, not mine) would go, and this forum would go back to the programmers. And he was still a mod. at the time. And Graham stood up for Steve B., saying he had just as much right to his computer posts as anyone. Some people have a short memory. I would be much less concerned about how someone handled offensive posts than i would someone who wanted this forum named after him.
Regards, I think
The forum was split exactly as I (and others) thought it should be, so that there are general topics, tournaments, and programming divisions. You seem to think that was a bad thing. Editing posts is a poor practice, it is not accepted _anywhere_ that I know of, for reasons that are obvious to those willing to give it some serious thought...
Most of my posting stays in the programming forum, and I plan on keeping it that way. I don't post in the tournament section very much at all, and also am an infrequent poster in the general discussion section except when an occasional programming-related discussion fires up there.
I suggest that you post what you want, and quit worrying about what _my_ motives might be. You are very poor and figuring that out, I can tell you. So maybe it is time for you to worry more about yourself, and less about me, and move on to something productive. You don't want me for a moderator, don't vote for me. If I choose to run and get elected, you can either deal with it or move on yourself. We _all_ have choices we can make. But you won't be making any choices for _me_. And I wouldn't consider trying to make any choices for you.
Psychiatric problems i have, huh. A little bit of a cheap shot, i would think. Oh well, life on the internet. No big deal. Even still, i offer you my hand in friendship and ask that we let the past stay where it should, in the past. If you are not so inclined, i suppose life will go on.
Best to you
My agenda is pretty simple, to improve my program, and help others improve theirs whenever I can... nothing more, nothing less...
the way to do that is to communicate. It became pretty hard to accomplish that until we split into multiple fora...
