Best regards,

Seems that way.
Probably the same engine with multi-cpu capability.
Hi Graham !
Generally Deep engine X=engine X with MP capabilities (Shreeder,Naum,Zappa, etc).
With Deep Fritz is another rule: Deep Fritz X=Fritz x.5 engine.
The Deeep engine comes comes -always- with inprovements.

I was told no Deep Fritz till March.
It used to be their usual thing. They used to release a single version then almost a year later released a MP version with about 30-40 point improvement on a single CPU. I guess the last time around was the first time they released a single and Mp version together. You can correct me if I am wrong.

This appears in the recently printed Chess & Bridge Catalogue 2008 (from the London Chess Centre):
DEEP FRITZ 11 £109.95 (DVD) is the multiprocessor version of Fritz 11... Deep Fritz 11 is at least 50 points stronger than its single-processor counterpart when run on the same hardware.

Here. I could be mistaken but I'm quite sure that there was a post here a couple of weeks back that said that Fritz 11 would come out as a UCI engine as well as native ChessBase. I could be mistaken - work has been hectic over the past couple of months and I have been unable to devote as much time as I'd like to more important issues such as CC

Have a nice day,

Cheers for the clarification Sylwy
You have a nice day too.
Regards, Graham.
Cool. Fritz is now doing business as in earlier days. If i am right, DF10 was the first (and hopefully last) Fritz engine which was (as good as) identical to the single-threaded one (=boring). I'll go for DF11 when it is really a further development. Who knows, even UCI...

I still wonder why they arent trying to take advantage of 64bit. According to Chrilly the latest fritz versions use bitboards. I guess they are using that as a back up in case they can no longer make progress.
