Hypothetical at this stage, but how many enthusiasts currently use such hardware anyway?

I'll add that I have no beef against Hiarcs. Mark is probably one of the few honest commercial authors left and deserves every success he can get.

The english was good enough to have "never" backed up by "too strong for Hiarcs."

Perhaps bad english is correct however. It seems to have been the excuse for not understanding GPL in the past...

Is English Thomas's first language?
I took it it to mean that Hiarcs would never win that game. This seems to be confirmed by the timing of his post, which was when Hiarcs was struggling.
I guess only Thomas can confirm one way or the other for sure.
In the meantime, surely it's sensible to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Regards, Graham.

Thomas
Naum is a very strong engine, maybe the best engine with big hardware, but hiarcs is also very good. What happened to the luck factor you talked about the other day? I can not think of a stronger 32bit engine than Hiarcs, it seems like a better idea to be a fan of such a great engine than be bitter and/or jealous of it.
I suspect that Thomas might have been talking about the game in question, which was indeed won eventually by Naum.
This seems to be confirmed by the timing of his post and then Daniel's post three minutes later.
I doubt that his comment was malicious in that context.

Some never forgive. The old hoary chestnut always gets brought up when there's nothing else to say.
Best let the CCC readers judge for themselves.

What's life without a good Western? Gene Autry and John Wayne would be disappointed.

Hiarcs did very well and the whole team should be proud.
Anything can happen in tourneys over 7 rounds.

On my PC, HIARCS seems to do better with Megadeth playing in the background.

Can't really understand why, though. Is HIARCS a speed metal fan?

With Led Zeppelin in the background it seems to be from another planet.
