Once the tournament is finished..I'll add the latest version to see the progress and compare it with the existing one.

The page I quoted seems to imply that 5.1.6 (not 5.1.4) is playing in the division. I guess its possible that there was an update part way through as anything goes in Chesswar, but for some reason I did not think that was the case.Michael Sherwin wrote:Oliver is claiming a big strength increase for 5.1.6 and it is 5.1.4 that is playing in Olivier's division E tourney. Maybe Olivier should restart his div. E tourney with the new OliThink!BubbaTough wrote:I think it is playing right now in division E. It snatched 1/2 a point from LearningLemming in the first round (and LearningLemming was hard pressed to get the draw) but has not done as well in subsequent rounds.Michael Sherwin wrote:Very nice Oliver!I hope that you will request Olithink to play in Olivier Deville's next open war tournament. Engines play by author request only.

Romi - Oli, so far 20.5/33 +19 -11 =3
You could be right. However, Oliver stated that OliThink does really well at fast time limits.Tony Thomas wrote:I dont think this is fair. I think due to our testing at 1min+1sec only, Romi is ultra optimized for that time control.Michael Sherwin wrote:RomiChess96c - OliThink : 63.5/100 56-29-15 (1110011000=110111011011010=11=011100111101=1101010011111==10011=11=1=000111100=1=1=111101==111=00110) 64% +100
I will run OliThink against the last released version of RomiChess (P3k) to get a further comparison. So far RomiChess96c is testing about CCRL 2650 ELO, but I seriously doubt that it is that strong. RomiChessP3k is CCRL rated about ELO 2507. When this next match is finished we should know more.

That was based on game in 5 seconds or something. Many of the engines doesnt do well at something that quick. Go ahead and send the beta myway..Michael Sherwin wrote:You could be right. It is only an alpha. I some some more work to do to make it a beta. ASAPTony Thomas wrote:That was based on game in 5 seconds or something. Many of the engines doesnt do well at something that quick. On a side note, I figured out how to enable autoKibitz with the help of Robindu.Michael Sherwin wrote:It is only an alpha. I some some more work to do to make it a beta. i don't understand, are you disappointed by OliThink's performance or vice versa?Michael Sherwin wrote:RomiChessP3k - OliThink : 63.0/100 47-21-32 (111=====11=110==000=1=1=01=11111=10111101=11111110=10010=0==101=01=1=1111==0111===1==000101100==11==) 63% +92Michael Sherwin wrote:RomiChess96c - OliThink : 63.5/100 56-29-15 (1110011000=110111011011010=11=011100111101=1101010011111==10011=11=1=000111100=1=1=111101==111=00110) 64% +100

Now I do not know what to think.
I was hoping that RomiChessP3k would not do as well as RomiChess96c as that would indicate that 96c is indeed ~100 elo stronger. And that OliThink 5.1.6 was at least 2500 elo. However, this result of P3k vs 5.1.6 does not support that conclusion. So now I do not know what to think.OliverBr wrote:i don't understand, are you disappointed by OliThink's performance or vice versa?Michael Sherwin wrote:RomiChessP3k - OliThink : 63.0/100 47-21-32 (111=====11=110==000=1=1=01=11111=10111101=11111110=10010=0==101=01=1=1111==0111===1==000101100==11==) 63% +92Michael Sherwin wrote:RomiChess96c - OliThink : 63.5/100 56-29-15 (1110011000=110111011011010=11=011100111101=1101010011111==10011=11=1=000111100=1=1=111101==111=00110) 64% +100
