I think the latest winboard from H.G already supports Multi-PV, I saw it in a discussion here few days ago.

Hi Graham,
this works for eng-eng matches with ponder off (CEGT :) ) - but the engine does not ponder here (I was using Fritz 11 GUI).

Anyone found a solution for pondering ?

PS: I have very good results till now with the 2CPU engine - much stronger than version 5.2.

best

Hi!

Who belongs to the new UCI? Is it "Glaurung" or something else?

Nothing wrong with your settings, Thinker is a very private engine, it will not report anything to the GUI, other than it's move choice. Not even it's name!

Apparently it's a design decision. I guess it is the feature that receives the most complaints.

But it plays like Anand anyway so I guess we will just have to live with it.

Perhaps thinker is as silent as a shadow of a stone that joined a monestary with a vow of silence, but it plays great anyway.

thank you for the confirmation of my "problem".

the information is the thing that makes a chess program most interesting for me. a pity i cannot watch the main lines etc. DURING search process.

I wouldn't worry about it. I would instead take the oppurtinity to keep guessing the future moves that Thinker might make.

Hi !

In the middlegame & endgame Thinker is a full unpedictable engine.A lot of moves are different from the opposite engine PVs.
I think its source code it's extremely interesting  !
