Rybka winning by 1 point playing on 40 cores. I am not sure this proves much. It would be much nicer to see the top engine winning these tournaments on hardware that customers can own. Does anyone know what hardware Naum used?

the site says Rybka was on a Quad i think
Naum on a Single Core??

Rybka definitely played on 40 core cluster. I am also fairly certain Naum played on either 4 or 8 just from looking at the stats during our match.

IMO they didn't join to prove superiority. That Rybka is superior can also be seen from independent testers (SSDF, CCRL, CEGT). They just want to secure 1st place by using the best possible hardware.
