Rybka winning by 1 point playing on 40 cores. I am not sure this proves much. It would be much nicer to see the top engine winning these tournaments on hardware that customers can own. Does anyone know what hardware Naum used?Ovyron wrote:Now the interesting question is: How many games would be needed for Rybka to not score 100%?Steve B wrote:thanks

Rybka definitely played on 40 core cluster. I am also fairly certain Naum played on either 4 or 8 just from looking at the stats during our match.Steve B wrote:the site says Rybka was on a Quad i thinkHarvey Williamson wrote:Rybka winning by 1 point playing on 40 cores. IMO they didn't join to prove superiority. That Rybka is superior can also be seen from independent testers (SSDF, CCRL, CEGT). They just want to secure 1st place by using the best possible hardware.Harvey Williamson wrote:Rybka winning by 1 point playing on 40 cores. I am not sure this proves much.
