now back to the chess topic before they lock the thread

I think that a lot of our money we computer chess freaks go to the hardware sector rather than for the software....this is also demonstrated even better in the dedicated chess units sector....oooops,no offence is intended of course

I lost about $80,000.00 Canadian in my Canadian investment accounts last year. If I had that money in US accounts it would have been about $200,000.00 USD since the US market took a more severe beating.
I would really like to have lost that much last year... really, no joke.

My income from chess by selling cds/dvds will be smaller and smaller,
probably approach to few bucks at the end. Plus no valued customers interest for my precious dvds of free chess engines collections.

best,

PS: As for my chess strength: no hope on the sight for an increase.

I have found a lot of chess book in PDF format in emule. Possible they are illegaly copied, but you can download them. The only drawback is that most of them are "image-scanned", so the reader dont recognize text and can not resize them in different zoom options available. But if you see them in landscape you will not dissapointed.

For other books which are not about chess, but bestsellers and universal literature (in Spanish), I have found lots of sites that give you free access to them. All novelties are available to download. If you are interesting in spanish literature I can give you the links, altough only be for curiosity.....
I think chess publishers should sell pdf/ebook versions of chess books. I found a very limited quantity of such books. They might be concerned about illegal copies. It is surprising that the only top quality chess ebooks are those that are illegally scanned.

Regarding non chess literature, unfortunately I cannot read Spanish. However, do send that link as I am interested to see if english versions of spanish classics exist.

Hi Silvian,

I know that you guys were joking around, so nothing personal was intended in my comment.
I just don't think that we should be mentioning such sites here. I'm not a moderator though, just giving my opinion. :)

Cheers, Graham.

Shouldn't this thread be in the 'Chess Thinkers Forum' where such bollocks belongs?
