but posts about Chess in General are always warmly received with open arms there

Actually, its all about the inner runnings of an insane asylum. I cant imagine Steve sending you over to that nuthouse unless he was just making a joke.

PS: You should have entitled your post: "Which Pandolfini books would help me play better ag. chess engines?" Just a thought. :shock:

After about 2 threads over in that looney bin, the question will have turned to whether or not God made the trees from which lumber- then paper for Pandolfini books came, or how much longer trees would even be here with the US plot to destroy all life forms thru global warming and/or a catastrophic nuclear event. And somewhere around the 6th thread, i promise you Freud or Hitler would enter the discussion. :roll:
