The top engine will gain automatic promotion and the bottom engine will face automatic relegation. The fate of the second top and second to bottom engines and perhaps others will be determined by grading matches before the next series.
I will post updates here after every six rounds.
For those who wish to follow the tournament more closely, you can do so from the following link: http://www.kirill-kryukov.com/chess/dis ... f=7&t=4701
Games will be available for download after every two rounds.
Traditionally, Division 3 is also a very closely fought division. Here are my thoughts on how things might go:
I think that Sloppy, Amyan and AnMon will be the ones most likely to be vying for promotion.
Tornado will likely provide a challenge to the top group, and I also believe that Rotor will finish in the top bracket.
The remaining engines are so close in strength that you could probably throw a blanket over them - GarboChess, Hermann, Arasan, DanaSah, Cerebro, Matacz and Anatoli.
Therefore the battle to avoid relegation is likely to go right down to the wire.

My blood pressure is also rising!
Let me allow this time guessing last places: Two of the
bottom three will be Anatoli and Cerebro.
