RAINBOW 1.0 beta- A Lethal Weapon?

Post by geots »

Rainbow 1.0 beta vs RobboLito 0.10 SMP x64

I certainly thought this would be a close match- what can I say. We may be very close to a TRUE World Championship Match between Rainbow 1.0 beta & Houdini 2.0c. I wonder if Houdini has what it takes to stay with this engine.

Intel i5 w/4TCs
Fritz 13 gui
1CPU/64bit
128MB hash
Bases=NONE
Ponder_Learning=OFF
Perfect 12.32 book w/12-move limit
5'+5"
Match=50 games

Code: Select all

1   Rainbow 1.0 beta          +85    +16/-4/=30   62.00%   31.0/50
2   RobboLito 0.10 SMP x64    -85    +4/-16/=30   38.00%   19.0/50

Maybe I will go and count sheep-

Seems a nice engine. You should perform a test to see what kind of clone it is :wink:

Seriously- this is 100% original. Has beaten Critter 1.4 and 1.6 and Strelka 5.1 and 5.5. Right now a match has begun- the WCEC (World Chess Engine Championship). It has a time control of 10'+10" and that allows the match to consist of 500 games!

This match has begun- and is between Rainbow 1.0 beta and Houdini 2.0c- It has played them all. What exactly would it be a clone of? And I also heard it from 2 other programmers who are familiar with its programmer. He doesn't deal in clones- but rather brains.

The WCEC has begun, and updates will be given on a regular basis.
