I certainly thought this would be a close match- what can I say. We may be very close to a TRUE World Championship Match between Rainbow 1.0 beta & Houdini 2.0c. I wonder if Houdini has what it takes to stay with this engine.

Seriously- this is 100% original. Has beaten Critter 1.4 and 1.6 and Strelka 5.1 and 5.5. Right now a match has begun- the WCEC (World Chess Engine Championship). It has a time control of 10'+10" and that allows the match to consist of 500 games!
This match has begun- and is between Rainbow 1.0 beta and Houdini 2.0c- It has played them all. What exactly would it be a clone of? And I also heard it from 2 other programmers who are familiar with its programmer. He doesn't deal in clones- but rather brains.
