I think it is a good idea to use Houdini 3 Tactical.
I was watching the game: Houdini 3 Tactical 64-bit 8CPU v Sting SF 2 64-bit 8CPU (draw).
It was exciting show, mainly by a very creative in attack Houdini's play.

Maybe, I can't be friendly, but let me be useful.

I'm currently running further Houdini 3 Tactical 64-bit 1CPU games to get it established in the CCRL list.
Not sure whether I'll be able to slot some extensive 4CPU testing in anytime soon though, as I have both Stockfish 3 and Sting SF 3 to look at first.
Graham.

Graham,
Thank you very much for holding this tournament and letting Firenzina take part in it! In the near future, I hope to see an 8CPU rating added to the conventional 4CPU and 2CPU ones.
Dmitri

for our 40/40 testing, we currently only maintain the 1CPU and 4CPU lists.
Can't see 8CPU testing happening anytime soon.
Graham.

Re: Final Round Results and Crosstable
Hi,
Not obvious, here, that "Critter does not scale well with number of cores"
(comment made when Critter was eliminated early in the current TCEC tournament).
But of course, Critter only played 8 games in this Super Swiss 8CPU.

Re: Final Round Results and Crosstable
Earlier, there were rumors about 8-core i7s coming to market by the end of the year, http://www.techngaming.com/home/news/le ... -2013-r519. I wonder if you'd count them as 8CPU or 16CPU (because of hyperthreading).Graham Banks wrote:Hi Dmitri,Gusev wrote:Graham,
