I think it is a good idea to use Houdini 3 Tactical.
I was watching the game: Houdini 3 Tactical 64-bit 8CPU v Sting SF 2 64-bit 8CPU (draw).
It was exciting show, mainly by a very creative in attack Houdini's play. 8-)
Maybe, I can't be friendly, but let me be useful.

Hi Marek,

I'm currently running further Houdini 3 Tactical 64-bit 1CPU games to get it established in the CCRL list.
Not sure whether I'll be able to slot some extensive 4CPU testing in anytime soon though, as I have both Stockfish 3 and Sting SF 3 to look at first.

Graham,

Thank you very much for holding this tournament and letting Firenzina take part in it! In the near future, I hope to see an 8CPU rating added to the conventional 4CPU and 2CPU ones.

Hi Dmitri,

for our 40/40 testing, we currently only maintain the 1CPU and 4CPU lists.
Can't see 8CPU testing happening anytime soon.

Hi,

Not obvious, here, that "Critter does not scale well with number of cores" 8-)
(comment made when Critter was eliminated early in the current TCEC tournament).

But of course, Critter only played 8 games in this Super Swiss 8CPU.

Earlier, there were rumors about 8-core i7s coming to market by the end of the year, http://www.techngaming.com/home/news/le ... -2013-r519. I wonder if you'd count them as 8CPU or 16CPU (because of hyperthreading).
