The 960 start positions are perfectly white/black symmetrical, with the only advantage being whatever the 1st move (white) is worth,
unless, of course it can shown empirically that one or another position (out of the 960) heavily favors white (or black),
but that result seems illogical and highly unlikely.
The engines play the entire game, each from the exact same position (not from an inferior human opening book construct)
...FRC actually looks to be the most perfect 'test' mechanism available
(even if you don't repeat and reverse openings, results should be pretty accurate)
I have not done this but...try any FRC position with top engines...
theoretically, the start positions should give only a very small advantage to white.
