White Pawn Chess App for DGT Board

Hm. I have a phone with USB-c port, and a DGT-board with USB-c (and one with Mini-USB; which replaced my Hirose-type board). I could try this. If it doesn't work, I assume I'd need a USB-to-go cable so the phone can become a USB-host.

In 2021, to be honest, DGT should have their own app to use the DGT-board for playing. (Although I understand that in newer Android versions, installing sperate engines is going to be a problem because of 'security risks.')

Maybe they have one in making, there is some adverticing together with the Pegasus board. I don't know if it is only for that board or for all DGT board. The Pegsus board use the Centaur tecknologi for pieces.

Just tested it again this time with my DGT Clock and it works. Then pulled out my DGT XL Clock which I have not used in ages only to find it is not powering on, so I will have to take it apart and see if I can repair it. I know it is not supported but still ..., have to try it.

You have to authorize your LiChess account to grant White Pawn App access your LiChess Account (Currently Still in Beta).

You can also add OEX chess engines for use in White Pawn app.

Ok, time to upgrade, I just ordered a 3000 clock.
The XL clock do show time correct in mode 23 (internetplay) but not the moves. There is some difference between the 3000 and XL on how you send message to the clock. The 3000 allow sending in ASCII while in the XL you have to set the correct dots to display the characters.

Well for me it works when i choose the white pawn server for the lichess everything below the text "opponent" is just grey .......
