Found on the web another FREE interesting engine + nnue and managed to install it on my system disabling an AVX2.dll  hoping that it will stay stable (I bet it will be better than other commercial engines ) ...Started testing it on my SuperBlitz, too.

Language: C
The engine is: Open Source. GPL-3.0 License.

Please, could somebody compile it also for macOS Silicon M1 and Linux ARM64?

Download: https://github.com/Oscar-Gavira /Coil...coiled_0.8.zip
Coiled literally uses a stockfish net. In my book, that's a SF "derivative".
Thank you for the info, you are right :)
It is not reported on the engine page and it uses a .dll for the NN, not common on SF. Since it's based on AVX I cannot still test Coiled (I've asked to the author if he can compile a version for my system) ...The problem here is that I cannot delete/edit my own posts after some minutes and it's the reason for using also a Chess.com page for publishing the results and the related infos.
Coiled 1.0 just released, no more problems to run it on my system ARM64:

Velvet 3.0.0 by Martin Honert (Germany)

Source Code: https://github.com/mhonert/velvet-chess
Download: https://github.com/mhonert/velvet-chess/releases/latest
Estimated strength: 3000+ ELO
Hi everyone,

I developed a new chess engine based upon my previous engine Wasabi.
It should have similar playing strength, but offers a couple improvements:
Windows 7 support
Native executables (i.e. easy to configure in chess GUIs)
Support for stopping ongoing searches (go infinite ... stop)
Logs more UCI infos during search
Here are some basic infos about the engine:

It would be great, if you could test my new engine.

In the future I will focus development on Velvet instead of Wasabi, due to the technical limitations.

Best regards,
Martin

Thanks, Alex. Koivisto is making big strides forward and I am eager to see how much it has improved. Lately, there are several interesting engines to break the monotony created by SF and others team projects and introduce new ideas and concepts in chess programming, Koivisto is one of them.

In this sense, I have to underline the role of Andrew Grant who, with the creation of OpenBench -- and not only -- stimulated and helped these recent developments.
