I played two test games with Dragon 2.6 using the Human personality set at 2000 rating versus Novag Diablo 68000 v.2 level a7 (MessChess) estimated 2040 rating. Time control 40 moves in 2 hours. While I agree with others here that a time delay should be added instead of instant moving. The games had a balanced flow to them with normal errors for the class of players. I will now turn it up to 2040 and see how that goes.

Note that the elo ratings in Dragon are intended to be about right for Rapid (15' + 10") chess, so any properly rated opponent (human or engine) should be a huge favorite against the same elo Dragon at classical (40/2 hours) chess; that's why the readme says to raise the setting by 200 for classical chess. Also note that the ratings are based on default setting (either with NNUE or Use Regular Eval), so if you select a personality it will likely play somewhat weaker than the stated elo. I'm running tests against various CCRL engines in Rapid, but the difficult question is how to convert a CCRL Rapid rating to a human Elo rating playing Rapid. There seems to be a wide range of opinions on this question.
Another question, does the hardware matter? for instance I brought this Lenovo Ryzen 7 with me to the Dom. ReP. and want to know if for UCI_ELO settings at T/C Rapid (15' + 10") having a faster or slower hardware affect the human = Komodo Dragon UC_ELO ratings just like playing at greater T/C than Rapid (15' + 10" , I suppose that using an old Pentium versus this Ryzen 7 could yield a 150 to 250 ratings difference https://www.newegg.com/p/1TS-000E-0ND97 ... lsrc=aw.ds
No, the time limit or hardware makes no difference at all as to how Dragon plays with Elo set to any number in the human range, except that on very slow hardware it might take a second or two to move giving the human a tiny amount of ponder time. But this assumes you follow the instructions and set Threads to 1; if you use more than 1 thread, you raise the elo, regardless of processor speed. How much depends on the elo setting and the number of threads set, but there is no reason to do this, just set the elo to the right value in the first place and keep threads to 1.

While I agree with others here that a time delay should be added instead of instant moving. The games had a balanced flow to them with normal errors for the class of players.
Thanks
You need to set the elo on Dragon based on his standard FIDE rating of 2365. His Rapid rating of 2259 is based only on five games played back in the year 2013, so totally meaningless.
Komodo rules!

ChessBase GUIs won't work with the underscores so that's why we removed them. Are there any GUIs that won't work without the underscores?
Chessbase GUI recognize UCI_Elo and UCI_LimitStrength, you see this in engines property when they don't show this so it is handled internally. It send these parameters to the engine when you play rated game, sadly it doesn't send more, e.g. ask for moves, so it's this internal engine who play the game. Guess they do it like this to get somewhat stable rating levels.
When you send UCI Elo and UCI LimitStreng you create two new options that Chessbase show under property like all options that isn't standard (and don't understand). With this you also discard all GUI that follow the standard and let the user set the strength of the engine in an easy way without going into the engine property to search for this option, they aren't used to do it here. How many Chessbase users will find this when they are used to just set the elo when starting a training game. Maybe better was to keep the standard and add a new single option for Chessbase users ex. Skill (0-3500) or EloLevel (0-3500) to not confuse old users.

Thanks
You need to set the elo on Dragon based on his standard FIDE rating of 2365. His Rapid rating of 2259 is based only on five games played back in the year 2013, so totally meaningless.
Rapid fide rating is usually lower than standard fide rating even for players who play more games because the fide rapid rating is distorted.
I calculated the average fide rating of the 103 women who play in the rapid women world chess championship and found it is 2283.99 when the average rapid rating of the same players is 2161.845

http://chess-results.com/tnr600853.aspx?lan=1

The problems is that players often play more standard games and less rapid games so they can improve their fide rating when their rapid rating does not change.
You can see the distortion with the indian chess players who are going to play in the world rapid and blitz championships .

https://ratings.fide.com/profile/46616543
https://ratings.fide.com/profile/35042025

The problem is not only with players who do not play a lot of rapid games but that these players help to reduce the rating of other players when they play against them.

By some way the top players can avoid the reduction and maybe it is because of a bigger difference between top players and weaker players in blitz but if we are not talking about the top players(and rating of 2365 by fide is not a top player) then the rapid rating is clearly lower.

examples for women players in the top 100 with fide rating near 2365 who have a rapid rating.
In 9 out of 10 cases the rapid rating is lower

Since most fide rated players either don’t have a fide Rapid rating or have one based on few games, I advocate using standard ratings for setting elo on an engine, even at rapid tc. That’s how I judged the elo levels in dragon.

I do NOT know what the Wiki Elo = to in Fide term but it say that Turquoise was rated around 1940, so I decided to test it against Komodo Dragon 2.6 UCI-ELO =1940

I waited for 30 minutes for Abreu Jean, Carlos Paul to show then he called me saying that sorry he could not make it today to the chess club, but Elvis Hernandez Sanchez was there and I offered him $45 for a win $30.00 for a draw and $15.00 if he loses, and he accepted to play only one game since he had to be with his family, and I have to be at the Airport in 3 hours https://ratings.fide.com/profile/6400353

I noticed that once Komodo Dragon2.6 see the initiative of an attack it does not let the human opponent out of the hook too easy. I am at the Airport and found a 1460 rated 16 years old and I offered him $15.00 for a win $10.00 for a draw and $5.00 if he loses while I am waiting I will post as soon as the game is over.
